Based out of Barcelona, Spain, Ed founded QuSL in the beginning of 2004, specializing in SUPPLY CHAIN CONSULTING, TRAINING & EDUCATION. Ed is also a lecturer on Logis tics & Supply Chain Management at EADA Business School in Barcelona, Spain, which is ranked as one of the world’s TOP - 100 business schools by prestigious rankings such as FT and Economist. He is also the professor responsible for the Entrepreneurial Final Project Course in the International MBA’s and is Director of EADA’s Program in Project Management. Ed is delivery partner and authorized trainer in the business simulation games of The Fresh Connection™ of The Netherlands and Palatine Group of New York, US A.
With a M.Sc. degree in business administration from Erasmus University / Rotterdam School of Management and a post - graduate degree in Supply Chain Management from Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, Ed has extensive international expe rience in managing distribution and logistics projects. He has a practical background since the mid - 1990’s in the logistics world, having worked in various areas within logistics operator DHL / Danzas Solutions . First as Director Supply Chain Design, suppo rting large accounts with the redesign of their distribution networks at strategic, multi - national level. Later as Director of Engineering & Quality in a large operation in Spain and most recently, as International project manager carrying out productivity improvement projects in various European countries.
Areas of expertise include Distribution Network Design & carbon footprint; Transportation strategy & management; Re - location studies; Logistics outsourcing & tendering; Supply Chain strategy & management and Operational & productivity improvement. So far, QuSL has been actively involved in projects and/or in - company trainings in the following industry sectors: Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Apparel & sports, High - tech & telecom, Electronics & white - go ods, Automotive, Steel, Fashion, Pharma, Aerospace, and Industrial. Clients include companies like Nike, Samsung, DHL, Bestin Supply Chain, Shell, Alcon, Wyeth, Mölnlycke Healthcare, Volkswagen Group, Volvo, Makro, JohnsonDiversey, Groenewout Consultants & Engineers, Europhia Consulting, BlueStar Inc. and others.
Ed recently published a management book in Dutch titled “The Perfect Pass: what managers can learn from the football trainer” about the importance of seeing the BIG PICTURE, having good internal an d external ALIGNMENT and achieving COHERENCE at all levels.
