Dominik SCHMIED, Austrian, is partner in CVI. He has extensive experience in supply chain management and logistics especially in Central Eastern Europe and Russia/CIS as he has worked with c ompanies like OAO Transcontainer/Russian Railways or German Railways/DB Schenker, f.e. on new alternative transport corridors and routes like ITC#5 or Black Sea.

Dominik holds a master’s degree from the University of Innsbruck in business administration and wrote his thesis about the integration of the Russian Federation into the world economy and the role of IFIs in transport. He has also worked in PE in Russia a nd M&A projects.

Dominik is also an active member of various associations and initiatives like EU - Danube Macro Region Strategy and its global connectivity with UAE/GCC, PIDIN, CSCMP, etc. in Supply Chain Design & Logistics. He speaks fluent German, English and Russian.
