Dr. Cedwyn Fernandes is the Director (Acting) Middlesex University Dubai. Earlier he was the CEO of IMTDubai. Cedwyn was also the Program Leader MBA with a specialization in Operations & Logistics at Middlesex University Dubai and was ranked #1 MBA by Forbes Middle East. As Chair of Graduate Studies at University of Wollongong in Dubai Cedwyn was responsible for introducing the first MSc in Logistics in the region.Cedwyn has hands on experience in the corporate world with over a decade experience with Saudi Arabian Airlines and was in-charge of international project investments.
He has worked extensively in establishing joint ventures around the world and has been directly involved insetting up systems to enhance productivity of these ventures. Cedwyn is a prominent lecturer and researcher in supply chain issues and is a member of the Consultative Committee of the Supply Chain and Logistics Group. He has been a judge at the SCATA supply chain awards, the LOG ME and Airline Business Awards and is a regular speaker at industry events. Cedwyn was responsible for organising the prestigious Supply Chain Executive Forum. Cedwyn research interests are in the areas of supply chain management and macroeconomics. Cedwyn’s paper on Dubai’s potential as an integrated logistics hub has been published in the Journal of Applied Business Research.
